Onboarding: An Overview

Purpose

Paylocity Onboarding is the tool used to handle onboarding for all new and rehired employees and enables the new hire to submit all required forms and information before their first day.

Process

  1. HR launches an Event Packet to the new hire. This notifies them via email or text with instructions to begin.
  2. The new hire logs in to Paylocity and completes their assigned onboarding tasks.
  3. The new hire arrives for their first day.
  4. The STC/LTC completes their assigned onboarding tasks, including Section 2 of the I-9 Verification.
  5. HR will Finish Onboarding once all other tasks are complete. This final step is necessary to grant the new hire the proper permissions, and their account will have limited access until it is complete.

Event Packets are customized collections of Tasks organized and assigned to the relevant participant(s), ensuring a structured and consistent onboarding experience.
